CORMELA: QUALITY THROUGH RENOVATION
Cormela, one of the most dynamic Argentine heavy clay manufacturers, is improving the efficiency of its plant in order to remain competitive.

The extrusion stage has been totalled revolutionised by introducing a new vacuum extruder equipped with wide-exit extruder dies. The new extruder dies and technical support were provided by TECNOFILIERE, the company that specialises in this technology.

THE FRAMES AND CORES OF TECNOFILIERE: DURABILITY AND LONG-TERM INTEGRITY
Of the components that make up the structure of an extruder die, the frames and cores are particularly important for obtaining an extrusion geometry that corresponds precisely to product design. Furthermore, their durability and long-term integrity are essential factors for efficiency and quality of the extrusion process.

TECNOFILIERE PRODUCTS FOR THE FORNACI DI MASSERANO
Fornaci di Masserano, the Biella company founded in 1884 and a prominent manufacturer of insulating wall blocks, has recently upgraded its production processes to meet the requirements of the new and innovative types of product presently on the market.

TECNOFILIERE has modified the new extruder, to adapt it for wide product extrusion and also supplied 14 new TFE extruder dies, with external braking and two and three outfeeds.

TECNOFILIERE PRESENTS ITS STEEL AUGERS WITH A SPECIAL WEAR LINING OF WIDIA
As an addition to its wide range of products for the heavy clay and ceramic industries, TECNOFILIERE presents a new series of cylindrical extruder augers, specifically designed for use with difficult and abrasive clays.

These are variable pitch steel augers, fabricated in Italy and given a special wear lining in Germany called Deluxe Protection, which consists in applying a layer of Widia.

PRODUCT INNOVATION AND NEW DRYING TECHNIQUES FOR HEAVY CLAY PRODUCTS
In accordance with a company policy constantly focused on technological improvement of plants and research and development of new products, Fornaci di Masserano, has recently marketed an innovative line of insulating blocks called NormaTris and BioTris.

The new vacuum extruder has been transformed to adopt the wide-exit technique. The extruder was converted by the company TECNOFILIERE, which also supplied 14 new two- and three-exit extruder dies with an external braking system, together with two special mouths.

STABILA GROUP ADOPTS TECNOFILIERE TECHNOLOGY
The Stabila Group (Stabilimenti Italiani Laterizi Spa), one of the leading Italian manufacturers of structural heavy clay products has for some time been adopting wide-exit extrusion technology in its factories.

In order to maintain its extrusion processes at the highest levels of efficiency and to safeguard the extruder dies used, the Group decided to equip all its production units with five modern TF800 model die-washing machines supplied by TECNOFILIERE.
