LATER-CER, GROWTH CONTINUES
The Argentine company Later-Cer, one of the leading brick and tile producers in Latin America, has evolved in terms of corporate structure and company growth. Trough acquisitions and investments, has increased its production capacity at the parent company’s factory in Pilar and on the other Group companies’ production sites.

For the shaping process the company has chosen TECNOFILIERE, a leader in this sector. TECNOFILIERE technology was first adopted by Later-Cer, then by Ceràmica Quilmes and now by Palmar Còrdoba. The Italian company know-how has undoubtedly made it the world leader in the extrusion segment.

NEW CF2 WIDE-EXIT EXTRUSION DIE FOR REINFORCED MASONRY
Tecnofiliere has been commissioned to build a new extruder die for reinforced masonry by Alan Metauro, for its factory in Novafeltria.

It’s about a wide-exit CF2 model die (3 exits) for the production of a 30x25 cm block for reinforced masonry with a percentage of holes of under 50%.

TECNOFILIERE EXPANDS ITS FACILITIES
Tecnofiliere, a Modena-based manufacturer of extruder dies, operating facilities at Novi (province of Modena) with the addition of a second production unit to reach a total surface area of more than 2.500 square metres.

The new unit houses the newly expanded raw material warehouse, the welding and assembly departments for die-washing machines and the showroom, where Tecnofiliere has set up a display of antique moulds and equipment from the old local brickworks which has closed down in the 1960s.

TECNOFILIERE BECOMES THE EXCLUSIVE ITALIAN DISTRIBUTOR OF VAUTID WEAR PARTS
As of October 2004, Tecnofiliere has become the exclusive Italian distributor Vautid-Verschleiss-Technik Dr. Ing. Hans Wahl GmbH, a German company operating in the wear parts sector.

Wear plates can be used for hardfacing all machinery adopted for clay preparation. With its advanced research centre, Vautid can always guarantee the most suitable wear material for the specific type of clay. It can develop specific materials for the requirements of its customers.

LA ESCANDELLA CHOOSES TECNOFILIERE
In Agost, twenty kilometres north-west of Alicante in Spain, La Escandella is starting up the world’s largest roof tile factory. The plant will extend over an area of 25,000 square metres and produce annually 60 million pressed roof tiles or alternatively between 80 and 110 million extruded bent tiles.

TECNOFILIERE, the only Italian company to have taken part in the project, supplied all the extruder dies for extrusion of bent tiles and pre-shaped two-dimensional bats. The bent tiles extrusion dies were produced with four, five and six exits, a totally new configuration for the sector.
