THE KOTHALI GROUP (GREECE): A STRATEGIC REFERENCE IN THE EASTERN EUROPEAN MARKET
The Kothali Group, Greece, aims at becoming a reference in the Eastern European building sector, for its strategic position and its many flourishing activities. Among the many plants run by the group, is also the K.E.B.E. plant, established recently with the aim of completing the offer of heavy clay products for the building sector; the plant has been equipped with the best, most up-to-date technical industrial solutions.
For this purpose, the new plant has been equipped with the best, most innovative equipment and machines available on the market, supplied by carefully selected manufacturers of machines and equipment capable of guaranteeing reliability and quality. Most of these suppliers are internationally recognised companies like TECNOFILIERE,which realised and supplied the Greek plant with special extrusion dies made of hard metal for both the cores and frames.
The clay conveyance cone has been obtained entirely by machining work; thanks to TECNOFILIERE’s powerful for threedimensional calculation software, it was machined directly from the thickness of the fixing plate and the frame holders.

DIE FOR STIFF-EXTRUSION OF 25X14 MASONRY BLOCKS
Stiff-extrusion requires that die manufacturers must adopt appropriate technical solutions. TECNOFILIERE of Novi di Modena, Italy, one of the leaders in the sector, has successfully introduced these solutions to the Mexican market by supplying a die for stiff- extrusion of a specific type of product.
It is an extruder die for the production of novel 25x14 cm masonry blocks which has a clay conveyor cone in a rear position for direct mounting on the extruder cylinder. This cone is required to stabilise the clay flow and consists of three plates of decreasing size in the direction of the liner, which like the cores is made of a hard metal to withstand the high degree of abrasiveness of the raw materials used.
This supply package further demonstrates TECNOFILIERE’s ability to successfully penetrate emerging markets, even in very distant geographical areas.

SARL GIPAR EXPANDS ITS PLANT
With the recent start-up of a second plant, the Algerian private company SARL Gipar, which already operates in heavy clay related sectors, has completed a major investment to consolidate and strengthen its commercial position in the North African market through the production of clay building materials.
The entire set of dies required to equip this second extruder was supplied by TECNOFILIERE, an Italian company (based in Novi di Modena) that is internationally renowned in the field of extrusion systems for its high product quality, continuous research, advanced solutions and rapid tecnical support.
The supply package includes CF1 type dies mounted on a special pressure head designed and built by TECNOFILIERE and equipped with an external braking device. The new dies will extrude eight-hole masonry blocks in a 100x200 mm size in seven exits and twelve-hole masonry blocks in a 150x200 mm size in five exits. TECNOFILIERE also supplied two identical dies to these but made of sintered material (hard metal).

TECNOFILIERE TOOK PART IN CERAMITEC 2009
At CERAMITEC in Munich, TECNOFILIERE, the prestigious manufacturer from the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy exhibited a double-exit die for a clay masonry block with thin internal walls.
Pride of place on the TECNOFILIERE stand, however, was taken by the new TF1000 EVO die-washing machine, a further development of its predecessor TF800 with which the company had already gained 10 years’ experience.

Positive outcome for CERAMITEC 2009, the most important trade fair in the world for the heavy-clay industry, held in Munich from 20 to 23 October.
TECNOFILIERE had an excellent response and met plenty of highly-qualified visitors from 30 countries.

CERAMICA IASI STARTS UP NEW PRODUCTION LINE
The Ceramica Iasi Group has started up a new line for the production of blocks and partitions which joins the existing plant manufacturing wall blocks and roof tiles. The substantial investment demonstrates the importance attached to this expansion, which will enable it to triple the current production of masonry materials.
A concrete contribution to these investments was made by the Italian firm TECNOFILIERE, which supplied the complete set of dies for extrusion of blocks and partition elements: three pressure heads equipe with external braking systems; the new TF1000 EVO die washing machine and piece marking devices.
